You can now build better SEO Titles & SEO Descriptions for your Webflow sites with Flowmonk. Don't get me wrong, Webflow does a great job of allowing us to customize SEO Titles and Descriptions by utilizing CMS fields within the SEO settings page. The problem is that these titles and descriptions become redundant and it isn't helping your SEO. With Flowmonk's Airtable and Webflow real-time sync you can now generate game changing SEO titles and SEO descriptions for all of your Webflow CMS pages.
Below is the old, and inefficient way that leads to nearly identical SEO titles and descriptions that Google hates.
How to build optimized SEO Titles & Descriptions in Webflow
Utilizing the power of real-time Webflow and Airtable sync via our Flowmonk syncing tool we can now build advanced SEO titles and SEO descriptions that Google loves. The best part is that we can also utilize these descriptions and titles within our Webflow site without using custom embeds or other similar work arounds. These dynamic, and unique titles and descriptions can also be additional content for your site that helps add even more keyword friendly content to your site.
Let's take the example above and demonstrate how we'd do that. We're going go assume that you've already integrated Flowmonk's syncing solution and we're gonna dive right into Airtable and provide some examples of formulas, scripts and methodologies for creating killer SEO meta descriptions for your Webflow sites.
Here's an example of a SEO Title that's ranking in the first position for the term Mexican Restaurant when performing a Google search here locally.
Let's build something similar for our Mexican Restaurants category on our Webflow site, we'll utilize Airtable to create dynamic SEO titles that take into account the number of items in a collection (Mexican restaurants), diversify different words for Great/Top/best, add in our location information and diversify the Right Now to another call to action. All within Airtable and automatically syncing that back to our Webflow sites.
We'll dive into our Restaurant cuisine category table in our Airtable base and start to create each element of the SEO title and SEO description, the first stage is to create a Count Airtable field type to count the number of Mexican restaurants that we have in our Restaurants linked record table. This is the table that holds all of the restaurants that we have, each restaurant is linked to a type of cuisine.
Airtable Count Field Type
This now generates the number of items for each Restaurant cuisine based on my linked Restaurants table. I can now utilize this dynamic, and real time value in my SEO Titles formula later as well as creating other SEO friendly text elements on my site.'
Next up were gonna use Chat GPT to help us come up a formula to help diversify our titles, utilizing a variety of words such as Best, Top, Great between each restaurant Cuisine example. While we're creating a new field for this you could combine all of the following formulas together and use one Airtable field rather than several to accomplish a diverse SEO title.
To this properly you'll need to create a new field Autonumber field to your Airtable base. We're doing this since Airtable does not allow for random variables that Chat GPT will suggest using, thus using this Autonumber field we can create a formula that will achieve our desired results of somewhat diverse and "random" titles.
Using Airtable Autonumber field type for "randomness" in Airtable Formulas
Within one prompt I was able to get Airtable to create a formula to diversify one of the words that we'll utilize in our SEO title via Airtable. Below is the formula that Chat GPT created for this:
IF(MOD({ID}, 3) = 0, "Great", IF(MOD({ID}, 3) = 1, "Best", "Top"))
For our call to action in the end of our title I'm also going to create a few different variations of text, utilizing the script above and modifying it to suit my needs. I'll be diversifying three different endings for our SEO title. Here are the variations I'll be using:
- Right Now
- You Need to Try
- You'll Love
Finalizing our Airtable SEO Title Formula
Now it's time to finalize our Airtable SEO Title formula that we'll use to generate killer SEO titles that Google will absolutely love. At this point we have several different Airtable fields that we'll be using, some of which were created specifically for this SEO title. You can combine the formulas together using Chat GPT, or keep each field if you plan on modifying individual aspects later.
Here's an example of a formula to create the SEO title based on keeping those Airtable fields in place.
{# of restaurants} & " " & {Word Field} & " " & {Name} & " Restaurants" & " in " & {City} & " " & {CTA Field}
Here is an example of the SEO title that the newly created Airtable formula created.
